PIDGEON WITH NATITUDE BEHIND 2ND. ON THE EDGE OF THE GRASS

What a nice day at the park.  That pidgeon started out almost beside Jewett and wondered out behind the mound then to the 2B position all during the Nats' 7th inning explosion.   Both the ump and Span tried to chase it away between innings.  Span got it to fly, but it circled back and landed almost in front of him.

I think it's a rally pidgeon.

Cut out the pissing and moaning that we heard all season and that's what's left.

Three high quality pages though.

It's pretty simple. It's football season. It happens every year on Sundays when Washington plays.

I guess...it's not that hard to multitask between baseball and football games though...

I would wager that being on the outside looking in has a great deal to do with it...

And we know how that ends.

The Redskins won't be afraid to make changes, Shanny isn't sleeping on the job like Davey did with Espinosa.

So this game deserves a

Many are splitting time. They just aren't bothering with the GDTs.

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 79th win, each season:

2012 - 30th August (130th match of season)
2013 - 15th September (149th match)
2005 - 26th September (157th match)
2011 - 26th September (159th match)
---
2007 - finished 73-89
2006 - finished 71-91
2010 - finished 69-93
2008 - finished 59-102
2009 - finished 59-103

---

Nats two wins away from salvaging a .500 season...Mystics finish .500 and third playoff seed...a good day on the local sports scene...Burgundy and Gold Underachievers, what say you?
