I don't want to see Ian Krol on the major league roster, next season.

Cloyd is terrible  so winning tomorrow should have been a given.  This was the game we really needed and I knew Davey would make it much more difficult than it was already going to be.

What else could he have done? Gio gave up 4 and Hamels is a great pitcher

Usually an inning to inning thing.   :)

Hamels walked three batters in the first few innings.  No one bunted to advance runners.

Hell, Bryce Harper comes to the plate with runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out and Bryce who doesn't hit lefties at all doesn't even try to squeeze the runner home.  Davey Johnson always plays for the three run homer and that's why he's a bad manager.

If you score a run here and a run there, the deficit isn't as large when Gio collapses.

Now there isn't enough time to play small ball.  This is on Davey.

Bryce sucks at bunting. That would have just been an out.

Span, you should probably keep it to yourself. You didn't exactly light it up to start the year

They got an out anyway.  And Bryce isn't a bad bunter.  They also would have no idea that it's coming because this team doesn't do it.

Werth doesn't have a hit in this series so he's not the player we want up.  I'd rather have Lombardozzi up here.

Bases loaded no outs is still lethal to this team.

Bryce is terrible at bunting. The best case scenario is that it's 5-2. More than likely, Werth gets thrown out at home as he doesn't run that well with the groin. Or he doesn't come home at all.

It's not just that one time.  It's all the first few innings.  Everybody tried to hit homers and no one did so runners were stranded.

Desmond grounds into the DP on the first pitch.   Book it.

No, they were trying to get a hit. Hamels is a great pitcher.

If we had followed your advice, Desi would have just made the third out.
