I'm glad I can go home and watch the end of the game now!

Hopefully Tanner can still pitch.

i think eating Werth's contract is a story engineered by the Philadelphia Inquirer

That may be true, but I actually heard it on MLB Network Radio this morning indicating it's gone further than just Philly.  And as I said, I've heard Yankee fans discuss it as well (particularly when we were struggling and the Yanks needed offense).

You probably know this, but Davey has pitchers throwing simulated innings during rain delays so they stay warm-ish, then subtracts innings as he needs to.

But Roark is a rented mule. Davey'll flog him as much as he needs to.

I don't understand - he's one of the Nats best hitters - why would we "eat" his contract?

Odd.  You know it is a HR but you can't physically see it because of the glove.

Good call blue.

He has no neck, his chin just blends right into his chest, man he looks way out of shape.
So sometimes watching baseball soooo close on my crystal clear computer monitor is not so bueno :(

Think of it from their perspective - they're used to just getting whatever they want.

Didn't cross my mind (seriously).   But it's a good point.   Yeah, he'll ride 'im hard and put 'im away wet.

The sound of those jets taking off is just one reason I'm glad they didn't build any stadium near the Crystal City/Potomac Yards' sites.    Though Potomac Yards wouldn't have been as noisy as the Crystal City location.

Span should bunt for a hit.  Continue the streak on the cheap.

Harang has laid the perfect trap for us.  Everybody's swinging for the fences instead of smart baseball.

This is losing Davey-style baseball.

Harper can't hit the breaking balls.
