I like Ray but he sounds almost exactly like my creepy brother-in-law.

If Selig would grant us a two week extension on the season I think that we can catch those Pirates.

Wow, barely two full pages.  Short GDT though I'm assuming the Skins had something to do with that.

Man I really wanted the no hitter, especially with the Skins stinking up the joint tonight.

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 74th win, each season:

2012 - 17th August (119th match of season)
2013 - 9th September (143rd match)
2005 - 13th September (145th match)
2011 - 20th September (153rd match)
---
2007 - finished 73-89
2006 - finished 71-91
2010 - finished 69-93
2008 - finished 59-102
2009 - finished 59-103

---

Sure glad I tuned into Gonzalez' near no-no last night instead of that Redskins debacle...even if that Redskins debacle resulted in the (apparently) shortest-ever GDT.

starting to leave 2005 in the dust.  I'm locking this so it get enshrined as one of our shortest ever.

It hit the line, but it looked just right of center to me.  That's a foul ball to me.

Sorry JCA, a little late to post here but this warranted a response:

Rule 2.00 -
Quote
FAIR TERRITORY is that part of the playing field within, and including the first
base and third base lines, from home base to the bottom of the playing field fence and perpendicularly
upwards. All foul lines are in fair territory.

Any part of the ball hits any part of the line, it's a fair ball.  See chalk, fair.
