One balk run, two balks.  Or so I think...
Two balk runs?

She cranks just a tick under 98HP, and with 96 ft-lbs on the Torque side, she will get up and go...

I never went faster than 113 MPH.    :)

Sweet.   I think if we ever cross paths, we'll recognize each other.   :)     I had a bike when I was in the Army (many many moons ago).     Got married, kids, dog, etc.     One day my buddy bought a bike and said I had to get one too.    Missus was very supportive (she must have taken out extra life insurance).    I think she sees the bike like a shrink.    She'll say, "You need to ride."     Usually means I'm gettin' out of hand and need to do my psychological down time without paying $150 per hour.

It is great, cheap therapy...I likely need to avail myself of it more often...

I wrecked this one when it was 3 months old...Super Bowl Sunday morning 2001.  A blue-hair and his wife were leaving Piccadilly and crossing a 7 lane road.  He froze when he saw me and I T-boned him.  F'up'd my ride to the tune of $6K or so almost 13 years ago, but I did a pantload of damage to his Cadillac too.   :mg:

Ain't it something how they freeze?      I always laugh at folks who say they've "never been down and never been wet".   My response is "then you've never been riding".    :)     My buddy adds the key is to not do them simultaneously.

I notice you have a solo seat (as do I).    I tell folks, it eliminates the "Can I have a ride?" inquires.

I haven't rolled quite that high on 2 wheels, though I still like to get my yah-yah's out...

I do the Richard Petty Driving Experience here and there around the country two or three times a year...and have been for the past 10 or 12 years.  I'll be driving at New Hampshire in 3 weeks.

I did the Indy cars with Mario Andretti a few years ago and got up over 150 on the oval at Homestead.  These are likely too small, but...

Buddy and I did it on RTE 3 in King George, CO.    I told him, "If I ever do that again, kick my ass."

BTW   Always wanted to travel in an Indy Car.

I was thinking you may have done it over the 301 bridge...  ;)

Everytime I ride on that crazy span, I love it.    Ever been to Captain Billy's or Gilligan's in Pope's Creek, MD?   How 'bout Apehangers?

They run specials all the time.  I would not want to run one of these at anything less than a 1.5 mile track.  The cars are tubs, and I would guess more like Indy Lights...

Don't think so...I know I was somewhere in Fort Washington the day before Rolling Thunder several years ago.

That became something of a blur...

Now, you may ask, "What is a boy with this avatar doing in the Nats' site and not following the Steelers' game?"     Frankly, I have established that the Steelers are sucking wind this year.   :P

Based on today's performance...so it would seem...

Buffalo leads the Patriots 21-20 in the 4th...so it could be worse...

My Bears are clinging to life against the Bungles...

Arsenal unveils their fabulous new weapon next week.  It's not all worms & pee on the sports front.

Loved the Bears when George Allen was defensive coach in '63   ....   and of course Ditka   ...   Aliquippa boy  ....   saw him at Pitt.
