Harrisburg just finished beating Erie in the first round playoff. Robbie Ray pitched 6 2/3, gave up 1 run on 3 hits, walked 2, struck out 6. Nate Karns will be unavailable for another week, as H'burg moves on to the final against the Trenton Thunder. Souza 4/4 with 2 RBIs; Burns 2/5 with a stolen base and an assist/DP LF to 1B.

Well, I just tuned in from the Husker Football game coverage.  Looks like everything is going great.

A cheer for the kids: Brown for drawing the walk and Moore for driving them in.

A pub with Guinness (mine is Samuel Addams Winter), music, and Nats on TV is a winner -- assuming there are Nats fans in the bar! Clearly the right choice.

But where is the sub-horn? Where are the dancers?

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 72nd win, each season:

2012 - 13th August (116th match of season)
2005 - 5th September (138th match)
2013 - 7th September (141st match)
2011 - 18th September (151st match)
2007 - 26th September (159th match)
---
2006 - finished 71-91
2010 - finished 69-93
2008 - finished 59-102
2009 - finished 59-103

---

Announced attendance 28,336 - to go with 25,118 on Friday; must have been a promo on this weekend or something (their season average is 19,258, second-lowest in MLB).

Geez, drove all day down from Boston, with a 2 hour tie up due to the NJTP being closed at exit 7A after a truck fire.  First time I log on, and I'm getting grief about the :w:  OC could have added it.
