Don't give up. There are still 23 games left!

:spit:  Gotta laugh at all the idiots that preached that crap for most of the season when it was evident the team was crap and were digging a hole too deep to recover from.

Might be bearable if next year offered anything better, but I'm figuring it doesn't.

I'm leaning in the same direction. Unless I get a terrific deal on tickets I believe I may have attended my last baseball game this year.

We need Jose Vidro and Larry Walker in their prime back on this team.

When will Davey and the Nats finally admit that it's over as far as competing for a playoff spot? When they are officially eliminated about 2 weeks from now?

The season ended at the all star break.

Neighbor and I were talking and he said (and I think I read it somewhere as well) that the 25 games after the AS break were the killer.    Up 'til then there was a chance.   It pretty much died by the end of July.

So they couldn't hit Roy Halladay when he was a stud and now they can't hit him either because he's a soft tossing junkballer.. :smh: FP already coming up with the excuses.

1st   A LaRoche hit sacrifice fly to left, D Span scored.
2nd   C Hernandez doubled to left, C Asche and J Mayberry Jr. scored.

Washington Nationals  1
Philadelphia Phillies   2

IP   H   R   ER   BB   SO   HR   PC-ST
J Zimmermann   3.0   4    2     2       1       3      0      58-43
R Halladay          3.0   1    1     1       4       2       0     57-29

This is DEFINITELY the WORST game ever played!  Look at the stats!

Certainly not until then

The offense should honestly pay the money they're earning from playing this game to some kind of charity.

Maybe to some organization that helps the blind, who incidentally could probably find a way to score at least 3 off Halladay tonight.

look at meatballs and swing at balls.   Pretty sure that's what Shue is telling them.  Otherwise it makes no sense.

They should be thoroughly embarrassed.

I think Werth swung at that pitch just because Zimmerman did.

Halliday in complete control.  Pretty sure if he was playing any other MLB team , and probably AAA team he would not have gotten out of the first inning.
