walks .200 hitter :lmao: to bring the tying run to the plate.

Won't be funny if Frandsen or Ruiz go deep.

Sorry-ano?

He just loves bringing games closer than they should be. Oh wait he's the Closer as in bring the game score closer than it was, not end the game. Silly me.

Looks like a weird game...three errors but scored 9 runs? Corey Brown got a homer...great for the kid. I hear that Bryce Harper struck out but took first when catcher missed the ball, allowing a run to score.

I'd still like to see more Brown in OF, Rendon at 3B, Lombo at 2B, and Moore at 1B. Rest Zim and The Kid. LaRoche seems right for the Goon Squad until he learns to hit to left. Given his age, that seems unlikely.

Yes, the Old Curmudeon was taking an evening class. We are allowed. In fact, at an ultra hip coffe place on Bowery, I stunned the coffee guys by recognizing Woody Guthrie and then Robert Johnson. Young guitar player shook my hand so I described seeing Missipippi John Hurt and Skip James, double bill, at the Ontario Place. Even more amazed when I mentioned that my blues gang know John Fahey and his friends, who were about six years ahead of us at Northwestern HS. Mentioned a couple of local in-jokes that Fahey planted in his albums, such as "Tuck You, Mrs Beckman", who was our music teacher.

Amazing the things you discover when you just listen.

Saw a blue Curly-W on the D-train.

Myrical Max. Mandy P: "You killed my father. Prepare to die". Andre the Giant. Great movie: what are the three things you never do:

(1) Never get involved in a land war in Asia,

(2) Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line

(3) ??? ( I can't remember).

Still my daughter's favorite movie, and among my favorites. The fire swamp. The Dread Pirate Roberts.

"In-con-ceivable!!"

Every actor just right. And the lines...pop into my head at odd times.
