Yes, the Old Curmudeon was taking an evening class. We are allowed. In fact, at an ultra hip coffe place on Bowery, I stunned the coffee guys by recognizing Woody Guthrie and then Robert Johnson. Young guitar player shook my hand so I described seeing Missipippi John Hurt and Skip James, double bill, at the Ontario Place. Even more amazed when I mentioned that my blues gang know John Fahey and his friends, who were about six years ahead of us at Northwestern HS. Mentioned a couple of local in-jokes that Fahey planted in his albums, such as "Tuck You, Mrs Beckman", who was our music teacher.

Amazing the things you discover when you just listen.

Saw a blue Curly-W on the D-train.
