I think I need to stop launching GDT's in successive series...it always seems to be one step forward, one step backward.

But here was the situation - 25min to first pitch and no GDT? Such things demand action..so, drawing on the old early 60's song: '...fools rush in, where angels [and nats, and other MLB clubs] fear to tread...'

What about Stammen ?

Is Stammen a superstar? Is he the face of the franchise? No.

At least Harper redeemded himself somewhat. Zimmerman is completely worthless at this point. We'd be better off playing Rendon at third and letting Lombo/Kobernus battle it out.

Slate - Bryce goes 2 for 5, ties the game with a 2 run homer, throws a runner out at the plate, gets screwed on a 3-1 count on a low and outside pitch, then misses on strike 3 when the pitcher goes outside again, and your dumping on him?

There is no accountability on this team.  He should be benched on Tuesday for his blunder, but of course he won't because Davey is a player's manager.

Next game: Sun Aug 25 @Kansas City 2:10 PM.

NOT enough rest to prepare the GDT:
nats2playoffs
hammondsnats
OldChelsea
RobDibblesGhost

5 days' rest should get us to 98 wins again...

Somebody else should have and would have prepared the GDT.  There were 22 minutes before game time when it was started, plenty of time for someone else to start it.
 :nono:
With a FIVE-GAME winning streak, I've got to think that OldChelsea must be on Peter Angelos' payroll, to defy Karma and spit in the win[d], and start the thread. Ali the BaseballCat or spidernat, or one of a dozen other people could have started it.
 :whip:
We'll probably lose 2 more games...

Tired GDT syndrome, Old Chelsea was just like Ohlendorf...only no one was available to relieve him when the best he could muster was in the low 80s  :(
