I'd like to to think the Barves are not doing too well either given they've lost McCan and Hudson.

In the Barves case, you just don't pluck guys from the minors to replace guys like McCann and Hudson.

remains to be seen, they always seem to find a pitcher when they need one. McCann is a bigger loss, but there is no way I would ever bet against those two teams finding a back fill for any holes.

FWIW, Bowden was saying yesterday on XM that it's likely the Orioles will trade both Chris Davis and Michael Wieters rather than extending them.

Chris Davis would fit pretty nicely into our lineup.

yep, peak value for guys you can't afford to re-sign is seems to be when they've got 2 years left on arbitration.  Only wrote this morning that the Braves should think about trading Kimbrel for that reason.

yeah, but we can afford to keep them.  Olney's argument around Kimbral was interesting, basically that he breaks the arbitration models used to calculate compensation and could be due $15 million or more, a ridiculous price to pay a closer, even one as dominant as Kimbral.
