I still want Suzuki back Do it, Rizzo...
Maybe the Nats can play his walk-up song this year...I still want Suzuki back Do it, Rizzo...

First post since the Studzuki traded thread.
we could get an ass load for him
Zimm'nn for Goldschmidt.
Tweet from Buster Olney: Best offseason so far, IMO (and it's a work in progress): Washington Nationals. The worst, so far: Baltimore Orioles. More to be done.
I expect certain teams (mainly the cards and braves) to just be able to pluck replacements from the minors. Hopefully the nats get there one day
In the Barves case, you just don't pluck guys from the minors to replace guys like McCann and Hudson.
I'd like to to think the Barves are not doing too well either given they've lost McCan and Hudson.
great, everyone will predict that we'll win the WS again!
Dan Pleasac has already called us a "runaway freight train".
Trade Zimmermann for Freddie Freeman?
• Washington Nationals -- We always try to remember not to grade any team's offseason by looking for the team that wrote the biggest checks. And no team embodies why more than the Nationals. Doug Fister may not be David Price, but the Nats' trade with Detroit to get him was "the best deal of the winter," said one exec. Nate McLouth may not be Shin-Soo Choo, but the Nationals needed a left-handed-hitting outfielder who could play left, center or right -- and McLouth was a perfect fit. Jerry Blevins may not be Aroldis Chapman, but the Nationals needed another left-hander in the bullpen -- and trading for him beat spending $10 million on J.P. Howell."I really like what they've done," said an AL executive. "They're not big, big moves. But that's a really good team that got better. They should have been better than they were last year. But I bet this year is different. I bet they won't take it for granted this year that they're destined to play in October."
FWIW, Bowden was saying yesterday on XM that it's likely the Orioles will trade both Chris Davis and Michael Wieters rather than extending them.Chris Davis would fit pretty nicely into our lineup.
Matt Wieters?? Aren't both of these guys pretty good young players? Why would they be looking to trade them, because they're going to be too expensive??
yep, peak value for guys you can't afford to re-sign is seems to be when they've got 2 years left on arbitration. Only wrote this morning that the Braves should think about trading Kimbrel for that reason.
we've got a few of those
