Nah, not the same type of pitcher.  Delcarmen was a big name five/six years ago, though.

he had some good years with the red sox and it's only a minor league deal- no reason to complain

Probably too big a name for a middle reliever.

That was obviously due to the system he was advancing through. Had he been a Padres minor leaguer he'd have been an afterthought.

Probably. He had two really good years though. I guess that at the time they could have thought of him like we have thought of Clip.

I'm going to throw out another idea.  What about trading for Braun?  There have been plenty of rumors that the brewers might/should be open to shopping him and I was wondering what you guys think it would take.

No. Don't see the Brewers trading him anyway.

Jayson stark reports elsbury negotiations are moving quickly and he could sign a deal before next weeks winter meetings. No report on who would get him but everyone says Seattle is the front runner. .

Brett Anderson? Now that the As signed Scott Kazmir, it's time for Rizzo to call his favorite buddy.

I'm guessing Walters replaces lombo, solis replaces krol, and we sign either logan, howell, or O'Flaherty.

He made a good trade  I still think he's average to above average,  the guy he supposedly fleeced has had a team in the world series or ALCS three years running,  so maybe there's more to this from Detroit's point of view

Quote from: Rotoworld.com
Diamondbacks non-tendered RHP Daniel Hudson.

The D'Backs were working on a contract with Hudson but obviously were unable to agree to terms. The right-hander will miss most of 2014 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, but he's arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter and could make for a sneaky investment for someone.

Nats need to jump on this guy, get him rehabbed and have a true 5_aces_r_u_kidding_me? type rotation,
