Ohlendorf may as well be pitching coach. Even with mediocre stuff he knows how to read the ump andbatter.
True. He's thrown some really nice offspeed pitches by the Mets tonight. That AB against Turner was perfection.

Rendon chases ball 4. Why do our hitters have such a hard time on laying off 3-2 pitches out of the zone?

god damn. Zimmerman's power is shot. That ball should have been out of the park.

Ryan Zimmerman has 0 extra base hits over his last 50 ABs.

You make it sound easy. Many of those start in the zone and break out and they are in protect mode. You would be the first one on their case about taking  a backwards K too.

Ya know...if the team is gonna suck anyway, don't ya think we ought to at least have a nice, green carpet?

Nat's Stadium reminds me of Wrigley when they replaced some sod in right field last year and apparently forgot to water it...

Ross's mistake was leaving a ball up for Buck. The ump showed on Desi's AB  that he'd call the low strike. The hitters have been chasing low and he was able to climb the ladder for the easy K with a high FB.

We can use your enthusiasm, bro. The fanbase is down in the dumps. Today's game was as about as quiet as I've seen it. And right from the get go. Not just when thbey started to get their ass handed to them.

Will the Nats score tonight?

Of course, I ask that question every night.

Ryan Zimmerman has to be injured. That weak flyout to center looked like it was a homer off the bat. Just no power behind that swing now.

Stay close and break through late. Harvey will tire and the pen ain't so good.

wow, how is it that ball almost carried out from a weak hitter like Lagares? He didn't even get all of it.

Zimmerman got all of his ball last inning and it was a routine fly ball to CF. Something is very wrong with him healthwise.

If they don't start making him throw more pitches he will go 9 innings.

Ross knows howto pitch but isn't stretched out. Needs to be pulled early for the rested pen. Assume that was the pan.

70 pitches through four innings for Ohlendorf. He's actually doing pretty great right now all things considered, but that pitch count still bothers me. I just wish Ohlendorf could finish the damn game at this point in comparison to certain ''relievers' of late. Double header, I'm worried about how far the game'll get away from us by needing to go to the bullpen in another inning or so.

Davey will probably leave him in too long so he gets wore out and they start hitting him hard.

Snow is like ice cream. It's good in small doses.
