I'm not a guy who needs to see players throw bats and kick buckets. Just set your jaw and play.
Yeah and they are not doing that.

Through four innings, Charlie Morton has faced the minimum and the Nats haven't gotten a ball out of the infield.

They are pouting because they miss Eck :lmao:

I thought after last year we wouldn't have to deal with bad baseball like this for at least another 3-4 years. We may as well be watching a game from 2006-2010.

I would not argue with that. Especially given the talent on this team.

You might think a guy who is 6'3, 220 and played in the league 6-7 years could hit a punk pitcher like Morton. But no, see a sloppy ground out to third.

Haren has to be jettisoned.  The season is long lost...give some young arms a go...

Another baserunner in front of McCutcheon :lmao:

With first base open this is an easy choice this time to walk him.

Is this how bad it was? Jeez 4 years of it must have sucked.

Mercer missed that by about 5 feet.

There are a lot people from Pittsburgh and Pa. who live in the area and this is the best Pirates team they've had in a while.

It was definitely this bad with the exception of the players being all really crappy with no track record of success.

But everyone expected them to be crappy back then. This year they are full of All Stars and guys with track records of success.

29 other MLB managers would have walked him in that situation.

Pitched him carefully, yes, walked him, no.
