"We review...
all the fears and anxiety
...which are so
inherently symptomatic...
...of a losing team.
The mind is a strange thing, men.
We must begin by asking it...
..."What is losing?"

Losing is a disease...
...as contagious as polio.
Losing is a disease...
...as contagious as syphilis.
Losing is a disease...
...as contagious as bubonic plague...
... attacking one...
... but infecting all.
Ah, but curable.

Now, I want you to imagine...
...you are on a ship at sea...
...on a vast...
...calm ocean...
...gently rocking.
Gently rocking.
Gently rocking.
Gently rocking."

McCutcheon owns us just like Hanley.

Last 3 years vs Nats: .414/.482/.800 in 70 ABs.

And he goes opposite field just like Hanley Ramirez did.

His dominance over the Nats much like Hanley's never changes. We still don't know how to pitch.

That's a terrible freaking pitch that he left down the middle for McCutcheon. Horrible.

And the walk to Jordy Mercer was even more pathetic. Gotta pitch to him.

Haren 20 HRs given up in 94 freaking innings.

Sucks that we have to watch him pitch for the rest of the year. He hasn't gotten better. He's the same BP pitcher.

Why would you pitch to McClutch?  Who manages this team?

WALK MCCUTHEON EVERY TIME!
The Nats are too stubborn too. Should have done the same thing to Hanley but they continually let him beat them.

McCutcheon is likely to finish the series with 3-4 homers and probably 10 hits.

The last few Haren starts were fool's gold. Not like it matters with our hitting though.

FP noted earlier that Morton is horrible against righties.

C'mon FP the guy's only been gone a few hours, stop insinuating that Harper's stance has already changed as a result.

freak this freaking team. Morton a sinkerball pitcher and what do they do, hit ground balls. Can't blame Eckstein anymore. The verbal assault on the sorry ass hitters is going to be brutal over the second half.

Thoughts on the run since I last checked in here (which was before the ASB I believe): Bloody frustrating as hell seeing the same continued failings night after night. LOB and terrible situational hitting has killed this season for me, I'm not sure that we even deserve to catch Atlanta by the end of the year. I think on balance firing Eckstein was the correct call; he may have been the 'best coacher' or whatever Davey said that he's worked with but we need a spark from somewhere, anywhere and I hope dearly that is just what this proves to be. It's not been fun waking up in the morning and seeing we've scored 1 run on like 4 hits every night, so my fingers are crossed that we can pick up. I'm still not the cynic I was warned I would be, but I've been using the word 'suck' a lot when it comes to this team recently.

Also, anyone know if buying a Harper jersey for about £16 brand new from AliExpress is legit?
