Or my twenty something.     I tell folks I turn my cell phone on Tuesday mornings.    They ask why don't I turn it on at other times, I tell them, "I don't wanna talk to you when I'm at home.    Why would I wanna talk to you anywhere else?"    ;)

It really shows your age that your primary use for a cell phone is as a phone to talk to people :P

The girl with the dark hair in the Lexus seats to the right of Werth was actually paying attention. :)

Well, she WAS looking at her cell phone until the moment of contact, but at least she looked up then.

I only have one for emergencies and necessary communications.    I told the missus that I carry it on the motorcycle and that if it's ever used, chances are it'll be someone else.    :P

Quietly on pace for another good season. Most consistent hitter on the team.

So, you know....

He had one or two bad drops this season, I wonder if the glove really had that big of an effect on his catching.

I never thought Werth was a great fielder and I also thought he had an aversion to the wall. I was probably the most surprised when he saved Sorianos a$$ on that catch to save the game several weeks ago.

Was watching the game last night, when they did a closeup of Werth in the batter's box,  and it suddenly struck me who he reminds me of.

This guy. (No doubt those of you familiar with the movie made that connection a long time ago, but I can be a little slow on the uptake.)

Great movie, now if we can just get Werth to use the flight of the valkyries as his walk up music.....

Good question.  Weird thing is, his slugging pct. was almost exactly the same at this point last year: .406 now, .408 then.  And he wound up the season at .532.  That would be nice.

(Caveat: Much of his low slugging pct. last season at this point was due to fact that his BA was more than 30 points lower.)
