You're assuming people are miserable instead of frustrated at the state of the franchise. I vent here but once this crap is over none of it carries to my personal life. It's summer time and outside of the Nats things are great on my end and I'm sure it's the same for some others.

BTW, I must've missed it. Who attacked you for being positive? But more importantly, how can you possibly remain positive about this crap?

You know, the usual suspects. Think it was like page 5 or 6. And I can remain positive because if this isn't our year I feel confident about next year. I don't expect to win the World Series every year but with the expectations I have for this team as an annual contender I'm not going to be any happier with a playoff exit than I will be with missing them entirely. I'll be happy at the end of the year when we win the World Series and unhappy when we don't. At least for now with this core. But realistically I know we aren't winning the WS every year so I just see this as one of those years.

My life's pretty freaking great, just wish the Nats were at least somewhat living up to expectations to be the cherry on top. At least the Redskins aren't a mess heading into the season two straight years in a row, so I'm hyped about that.

I'm a sure as crap shiner but this team just doesn't have "it" this year. They've had some. Amazing opportunities tha year to produce runs, win games and to climb back into playoff races. They continue to misfire at every opportunity presented. I hope I'm spring but I don't see a way this team plays in the postseason this year.

That being said I am very positive that management will make some moves and juggle this team enough to hopefully make a run at the playoffs next season. I will continue to be a shiner this season but am already thinking ahead to next.

Slow down on the enthusiasm. I don't know how long you've been a Redskins fan but things aren't always as they appear.
