At least we only have to face the best pitcher in baseball tomorrow to avoid being swept at home. We got lots of baserunners the last two games and did nothing. Tomorrow will be a lot of 1-2-3 innings and we will be lucky to get more than a hit or two.

Hairston is 8/20 career vs Kershaw. He will be in there and hopefully Span sits on the bench. Not that it will really matter.

I tried to rewind to hear what Davey said and I couldn't make it out.

Kershaw, Pittsburgh for four, then Harvey.  This could get really ugly.

Davey might as well say the same thing every night - the results are pretty much the same.

I predicted a 4-7 homestand but even that seems way too optimistic at this point.

We still have 9 games left, 4 of those to be started by our #4 and #5 SPs. We could easily be looking at 4th place in the division by the end of next week.

Even the opposition thinks the Nats are underachievers

With a guy on second and Ramierez up who was 2 for 4 and Uribe who hadn't hit a thing all day;  how many of you think they should have Intentionally Walked Ramirez to set up a possible double play?

They were already in danger with a runner in scoring position.  Could have changed the ending

Even with the best quality sound he's difficult to understand at times - on the FM-106.7 pre-match shows he really does sound senescent.

No team throws away more good pitching performances than this year's Nationals.

Anyone for some Mystics? (This afternoon, vs Indiana Fever at 16.00 in superbly air-conditioned Verizon Centre - that's where I'll be.)
