That's why you should have someone with a little speed batting 8th.  It requires a less perfect bunt by the pitcher.

maybe someone like denard span

Can someone tell me why the pitchers even keep trying?  Id it just so they can keep their stats up for their next contract?  That's the only reason I can see.

Got an extra out and still didn't get a runner to second.

I'm feeling like his scoreless innings streak isn't going to end tonight.

sigh

Far too logical for Davey.  No they'll keep him leadoff until his OBP hits .250 or so.

If the game goes 27 innings and he pitches the whole way it wouldn't end tonight.

Wasn't a bar bunt[...]

...trying to visualise what a 'bar bunt' would be...something one would do when very drunk (that could possibly end rather badly)?

I am almost disappointed the better our starters pitch... because the better they pitch the more upset they are after a no decision or a loss.

Brewers leading Marlins 6-nil, 4th inning (but is it really getting to the point where, since the not-expected-to-contend-this-year Phillies have caught us, that we need to worry about the Marlins closing on us?).

There's a bunch of guys I'd like to dump like LaRoche, Span, Soriano, etc but no one wants their overpaid asses.

Gio with the masterful no-decision or loss tonight.  Awesome.  Hey my apologies for being so freakin' negative.

They keep pronouncing the name of this Dodger youngster 'PWEEG' and possibly that's how he says it now...but the name is Catalan (I speak some Catalan) and 'Puig' is properly pronounced 'Pooch'.
