The Nats are facing a terrible starter today in Henderson Alvarez. Slowey who is a much better pitcher was supposed to pitch originally.

Alvarez gave up 8 hits and 5 runs vs Atlanta last time out.

Last year the Nats faced him in Toronto pounded him for 9 hits and 4 runs (3 homers).

Well, at least if Harper gets tossed today Desmond can't pull out the #3 hitter card and say that's the main reason we lost

The mythical baseball gods function in reverse. The more you believe in them the more they punish you. The Nationals biggest sin against the baseball gods is that their stupid fans believe in them.
