The Revenge of Jose Guillen

Like out of some old "so bad its good" Samurai revenge flick or an advanced copy of Rocky 9, Jose Guillen makes it clear his goal in 07' is one word: revenge.

Quote
"Seattle Mariners right fielder Jose Guillen, sitting on the floor in front of his locker looking at the schedule, breaks into a wide, devilish grin.  Here he is, with another new team, his ninth in nine years and another chance to prove he's a model teammate.

"But this time," Guillen, 30, says, "I have the chance to get even.  My motivation is Anaheim.  I hope those fans boo me.  That just makes me better.  I want to show those people what they are missing." ~USA TODAY

Guillen will have his shot because Seattle plays the Angels 19 times this year and he promises he is going to spoil their season.

I'm not sure he's ever going to manage being a model teammate, but I wish him much success in defeating Anaheim at every turn nonetheless ;)

That's got to be the most over-used adjective placed in conjunction with the name Jose Guillen.

He's a fiery competitor, with just a little drama queen mixed in.  I hope he does that little bat flip right in Scioscia's lap.

By the way, if anybody wants to relive that game, (and what Nats fan would not!), go here and then to June 14th.
