Has he ever?

I'm just not impressed with him.

According to his game log he did it back on July 5, 2013.

Second time the guy who blew the game gets the win
So you could argue they didn't blow the game since we won it?

The bullpen's pissed.  They want more wins so they're sniping them :P

Today, the Nats played like the better team...not just the team with the better lineup. Great win. Great way to tie the game and go ahead. Storen pitching like the real Drew. Soriano giving batters the glare, then LaRoche making the stop.

I should really learn my DC geography better before I speak, huh :P

I think a drive hit fair over the right-field stands might land in the Navy Yard or might, just maybe, drop into the river where the Yard used to have piers. Probably about a 600 or 700 foot homer. Otherwise, a mammoth foul over the press box, and I haven't noticed a foul ever get that high.

(Note: Frank Howard once hit a ball over the RFK / DC Stadium foul pole, just fair according to the LF but the umpire could judge. The foul pole did not go up through the roof. Only fair ball hit out of that stadium.)

...and a pleasure to see LaRoche enthusiastically untuck. Decisively. Great plays by Rendon and LaRoche.

I missed the first 6 innings. How did JZ do? I mean I know the stats don't look great, but was he sharp thru 5 and just run out of gas in the 6th or was he erratic throughout?

He was actually very good.  Got out of a couple runner on 3rd, 1 out jams early on.  It was an incredibly hot day and he started looking tired towards the end of the 5th and I thought at that point they should have pulled him.  They sent him back out for the 6th to face three batters and when he was pulled there were runners on 1st and 2nd who would end up being 2 of his 3 earned runs when Ohlendorf gave up a homer to the first batter he faced.  Overall, good outing from J Zimm.

Hitting the ball impossibly hard into fair territory could hit only new, expensive condos or some Beltway Bandit's building. :-)

Honk.  Who'd thought that Storehouse would have a good inking and Soriano almost lost it!

No Rally Bubble today for Sunday.  Some kid blew bubbles and one landed on my shoulder.  It lasted half an inning.
