Looks like the Suns aren't going anywhere - they're close to finalizing another 2 year lease to stay in Hagerstown at the current ballpark.

The deal, which already has been signed by Suns majority owner Bruce Quinn, would require the team to pay an annual rent of $35,000 to continue playing at Municipal Stadium.

In turn, the city would agree to invest up to that amount back into the 85-year-old ballpark on East Memorial Boulevard.

The team, a low-level Class A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, is responsible for all utility costs and day-to-day cleaning of facilities, groundskeeping and maintenance of the playing surface, under the terms of the extension.

General maintenance and upkeep of the grandstand, seating areas, clubhouse, field lighting and the outfield wall will be the responsibility of the city, according to the agreement.

In addition, the city would agree to complete a restroom remodeling in the clubhouse and replace padding on the outfield wall before the start of the 2016 season on April 7.
