I was feeling confident when I saw Kobernus in the starting lineup.  I really like what he brings to the O.

Well played sir, Well played.. However Gattis was janitor in Texas, and I KNOW FOR A FACT that Texas would not call that Canned Pisswater they sell in Colorado beer.

True that he was a janitor in Texas yet he was a Ski Lift operator in Denver.

Random thoughts:

Solano calls a real good game at C.

Loving Rendon more and more at 2B, feels good to have a 2B who can hit.

I don't like Werth hitting 4th, he should hit 2 hole.

This kid Krol out of the pen is a stone cold stud. Looks like we may have finally found our lefty specialist, and dare I say future closer?

Between him and Abad I don't know why Duke lasted as long as he did.

Why was Kobernus pulled?  Cannot believe Ohlendorf pitched a gem.

Great question.  Knowing DJ it was a matchup or situational PH.  I sure hope it was nothing worse than that.

You're going to incur the wrath of the anti-Metschick crowd.

Personally, I dig Julie a lot.

The only way to  pay back PUTIN! properly for this win it to support Russian emigre women who are working as independent contracting entertainers at fine local establishments like Paper Moon, Good Guys, and CCR.  Their interpretation of classic Russian dance moves deserves support from the front row.

Noticed you wrote "experienced" and not "better".    Am I reading too much into that?   :)

Today's game is a Thursday matinee at 3:10 pm

It's the last chance for the Nationals to extend their streak of hitting a home run for consecutive series. They are now have HRs for 76 consecutive series, dating to Sept. 12-15, 2011.

They're due with that ballpark - surprised there weren't any roundtrippers yesterday.

Zimm's double was crushed. I thought for sure it was a bomb.

Rendon's been close a couple of times too.  And LaRoche's missed by about 18 inches.
