freak the Nats. Their excuse doesn't hold water. The Rays had never seen him before and they didn't have any problem pummeling him. What is the Nats' excuse??

One of the reason almost every pitcher looks like Cy Young against us is, shockingly, preparation.  They (and their coaches) know how unthreatening this lineup is overall.  They're confident they can do well against us.  That 3/4 of the battle.

I've never scouted a baseball player a day in my life and I KNEW that Espinosa would be precisely the player he is right now, TWO YEARS AGO!



I saw Espi a couple of times in Harrisburg.
He was one of the "stars" on the team then.

Maybe he is just overmatched in the majors.
