I'm not watching, but how the freak was that not interference?  Radio guys said the batter never tired to get out of the way.

It hit the bat. Would that have been interference?

Replay shows Kurt's throw hit the bat

Soriano ignoring the runners. And Kurt throws it a way

The batter owns the batter's box and doesn't have to move

It hit the bat. Would that have been interference?

Unfortunately not. The batter didn't move, so he didn't interfere.

You don't have to get out of the way, in fact, easiest way to get interference called on you IS to move out of the box.

If Gio hae gotten in trouble then Davey could have gone to the bullpen. You know, play MATCHUPS!  It was the 8th freaking inning!

I'm firmly convinced that Davey doesn't like to walk out to the mound.

Would have been as easy play if he didn't break back on the ball.

We still don't have a 9th inning comeback, at home.  The Giants have like 10 of them.

I can't remember the last time we came back from a deficit in the late innings.

The batter owns the batter's box and doesn't have to move

I didn't see the play, however ...

The second part of your statement may be true but the first part is not.

The batter does not "own the batter's box."

If the batter makes "any other movement that hinders the catcher," the batter is called for interference ... even if the batter is in the batter's box.

It was clean. The batter didn't even move.
