Rizzo really should have kept at least one of the three leftys.  They were all much better than the options we have now.

Time to call up my boy Bill Bray (went to William and Mary).

I'll bet the tempers are very short in that dugout right now.
They should be.  If I'm Zimmerman I'm pissed at Strasburg for collapsing and magnifying my error.  Talk about leaving a teammate out to dry.

I doubt it. Strasburg and Zim are to blame. They will just write what happened off as "part of the game" and "tip your cap to the other guys".

How many pitchers on the roster  ....   Z'nn, Gio (sometime), Det, Stammen, Soriano  ....   any others?

Is that Erik Davis guy any good? Just noticed he's on the 40-man.

Zimmerman's got no right to call anybody out on this.

Call up Erik Davis and JC Romero to replace HRod and Duke. Do it now. Stop freaking around with these bums.

We have problems.  Our franchise 3B is injury prone, can't throw and stands too far from the plate.  Our ace needs absolutely ideal conditions with no rough spots to bring out the best in him.  I could go on....

Why are they burning Mattheus in a 8-1 game?!!

Let Duke keep pitching for freak sakes. :hang: Or put in HRod.

Not saying he isn't partially to blame, but it was an error. It happens.  You still had two outs and a guy hitting .156 coming up followed by the pitcher. Puhleeeze.

Yeah. Man Strasburg was absolutely on fire today. His velocity was the highest it's been all year and he was throwing the change and curve very effectively too. And then bam, one error with 2 outs and the bottom of the order up and that was it for him. He couldn't get one out from the bottom of the lineup.

How do we rough up the Cubs ace but can't do anything against our number 5 from last year?

A game shortened by thunderstorms could just end it.  No delay, no wasting more pitches.

What did Davey expect from Duke really?  He put him in and didn't even let him finish the inning.  Yes he was was terrible but he's been terrible all season.  Why would he better  today?

lmao Edwin Jackson. bum

A god damn shame Zach Duke came in the game and laid a crap on the mound. It was a 3 run game after that Desmond homer.
