Ah, smooth DP. Yes, Mr. Rizzo, you've convinced me: fielding wins. Fielding can be the difference.

at this stage, Haren might be a 5 inning pitcher.  I can live with that out of a #5.

Only if the 5 innings are quality.

Pretty good, but balls are getting smoked in the 6th.

He's actually been pretty good, at least to this point. Definitely his best outing yet, but he's in danger of losing it right now, looking more vulnerable. Drove in a run with his bat too.

Sounds like "he's hit the wall", as Nats radio guys just noted.

Hmmm, well at least it's an improvement. Like JCA said, if he can give around 5 innings of quality work that's not too bad for a fifth starter. It's not good but it's not horrible either.

Looks like I missed the beginning of a possible Haren meltdown, getting back in as they turned the DP.  Heard the old squeal and bang from my house, so I wanted to run out to make sure everyone was okay.  It's the second accident in front of my place in just a few weeks.

With a four run lead I hope they run Haren out there again, though maybe with a short leash. I'd like to see our bullpen rest even more and possibly give Haren more confidence.

Now lift him so he can leave with some success.  Stammen or Duke, depending on what hitters are coming up.  Get a couple of innings in, then one of Storen or Clip for the 9th.

I thought Monday he should not have come out for the 6th.  I hope davey uses the hook now.

Werth seems to be the only player who can get production out of the #2 spot.

It's time to pull Haren; he has had a good outing but it looks like he only has 6 in the tank.

Point counterpoint.  Pretty soon I'll say, "Jane, you ignorant slut."

It's not my Hobby to post like this, but Detroit is  slipping ahead of ATL, 5-3 after 4.5. Omar Infante and Jhonny Peralta with dingers.  I'm trying to remember who got rid of all star Infante.

They're probably not even giving Werth anything close to the plate since Adam LaDoublePlay is on deck.
