Remember when we would have been thrilled at "reaching" .500?

Only a few in this thread will.

From the bottom up, not the top down.

Fire Rizzo or Fire Eckstein!

Either you put together a roster full of players who can't hit or have a coach who is incapable of teaching or planning.

Somebody's head has to roll!

I can't remember which season it was when the Nats reached .500 and Bob Carpenter yelled .500! when the last out was recorded. Then they went on a protracted slide.

3 Ks in a row.

The offensive efforts get more listless by the night. Just embarrassing.

Empty the farm system and come up with a big bat from a team that will need to rebuild.

Can't hurt to fire Eck but the players are ultimately responsible. Just a collective disaster.

Definitely the latter, in my opinion.

Yeah, I remember that.

Well, it seems we're back to those days.

Get used to it.

I guess the good news is I'll have more time, by not watching, to do other things.

Yep. Our preparation is the worst in the Majors, easily. They never have any clue how to approach opposing starters. And I'm always baffled when they look confused and lost despite facing a guy (I.E. Wainwright) that they've seen a million times.

I'm not letting the players off the hook. These are grown freaking men who have been playing ball for a while. They get paid loads of money. Earn your salary!

I'm going to the game tomorrow and have absolutely no enthusiasm or hope they'll win. Last times I went to Strasburg pitched games he immediately got TJS and had the Icy Hot game, so expect him to perish in a freak accident tomorrow.

Unfortunately I'm one of those who can't look away from an accident.
