The Marlins are trying to sabotage our team.  Scum.

I immediately thought they were poisoned by the hotel kitchen.

I totally want to see a minor injury where someone has to leave the game and see Stammen in the OF and batting in the lineup.

I am all about keeping bench guys fresh.  i guess i dont understand why Davey gives half a lineup a day off on the same day though.  Especially coming off two blowout games.

Harper and Span are sick with stomach problems and Espy is still nursing the sore hand.

Zuckerman:

Quote
Their only healthy bench players are a pinch-hitting specialist who can play the corner infield positions and a backup catcher, leaving Johnson to ponder what he would do if he needed another outfielder in an emergency. The manager went around asking his relievers if any of them could handle playing the field.

Consensus opinion was that either Craig Stammen or Ryan Mattheus would be the best choice, though Drew Storen was trying to make a case for himself. None of the options sounded particularly appealing to Johnson.

"It was just a conversation that didn't bear a lot of fruit," the manager said.

Davey said the people around Bryce heard him up all night...with the sickness.  That must have been interesting.
