Just saw on twitter:  "OF Wander Ramos is 4-7 with 2b, 3b, and HR last 2 games. Has 5 RBI"

Do we need a FTP thread?

Go for it if you think there is something there.  maybe we should take suggestions on new FTP threads?

Anyone see the Syracuse Chiefs final score today? They lost 27-9, yes 27-9.

Tanner Roark gave up 10 runs, Bobby Bramhall 3, Patrick McCoy 9, Jeff Mandel 5.

The Buffalo Bison had 4 guys with 4 or more hits including one player with 6.

Heard it was TJ surgery

both micro-fracture surgery on his wrist AND TJ.

Cue the "6 Million Dollar Man" theme the next time he comes up to bat.

Not much pitching in the pipeline.

Seriously, other than maybe Roark, is any of those guys on the team's radar?  If it were Rosenbaum or Young, then I'd disappointed and saying "just one game."

I kind of liked LHP McCoy as a potential bullpen arm maybe next year. 10th round pick by the Nats in '07. 3.70 ERA and 60 Ks in 58.1 IP last season in AA.

What's the story with RHP Ivan Pineyro?

Had this line today in Hagerstown: 6 IP 3 H 0 R 2 BB 12 K (Win)

Probably a fluke. Hickory struck out 18 times in the game vs Hagerstown (Suns won 3-0).

Treinen has had a couple of nice starts.  I thought he was projected as a heavy sinker reliever.  I wonder if he fits the Derek Lowe profile (from 20 years ago).

Looks like that is his 3d decent start in a row after getting shelled at the start of the year.
 4/15 - 7 IP, 0 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 4 Ks. (Win)
 4/21 - 7 IP, 4 R, 2 ER, 7 H, 1HR, 8 Ks. (Loss)
 4/28 -  6.2 IP 3 H 0 R 3 BB 6 K (Win)

Maya rocked again today. Having a dreadful year in AAA.

29 IP 36 H 24 ER 3 HR 11 BB 18 K (0-3, 7.45 ERA)
