The Pats have signed Emmanuel Sanders to an offer sheet. This is very notable because it breaks the unofficial policy held by most teams to not pursue other teams' RFAs.

Not for the past couple of years. I may be mindfacting that, but I don't think so.

You've been mindfacting about it being an unofficial policy. If it has slowed down it's because compensation for signing other team's RFA's has gone up while the rookie pay scale has gone down so it's less attractive to surrender draft picks.

Cause nothing says justice like working jail time around a player's work schedule.

They had a question the other day on who would you pick, Barry Sanders or Adrian Peterson in their prime.

put Barry Sanders behind a decent offensive line. not even a great one, just a competent one, and that discussion never happens.

That's always been a misconception. Barry Sanders actually had decent OL's. He played with several All Pro linemen. The problem that stood out in people's minds is that Sanders refused to accept loss of yardage, which is going to happen in an NFL game, and as a consequence he was often seen running around the backfield in highlights. Sometimes that created highlight reel material and sometimes it ended up in loss of yardage. When it came to goal line situations though, 3rd and 1, 4th and 1 or at the goal line, Sanders was taken out for a very good reason. In my book, as much as I liked Sanders, give me Adrian Peterson.

The Rams are trying to do something. Too bad for them they are in the same division as the 49ers and Seahawks.

all I know is rumors, as I don't really pay much attention to the off-season. not like I pay attention to baseball's off season.

we are linked, rumor-wise, to Manti Te'o and Alec Ogletree (the top two LB in the draft), Tyler Eifert(top TE). and there is a Safety that we are supposedly interested in as well, but I forgot his name.

our main needs are LB and Secondary.

so not sure why we are supposedly so interested in a TE.

I'd be highly surprised if both Te'o and Ogletree make it past us at 19.

*edit*, the Safety is Kenny Vaccaro of Texas.
