That's always been a misconception. Barry Sanders actually had decent OL's. He played with several All Pro linemen. The problem that stood out in people's minds is that Sanders refused to accept loss of yardage, which is going to happen in an NFL game, and as a consequence he was often seen running around the backfield in highlights. Sometimes that created highlight reel material and sometimes it ended up in loss of yardage. When it came to goal line situations though, 3rd and 1, 4th and 1 or at the goal line, Sanders was taken out for a very good reason. In my book, as much as I liked Sanders, give me Adrian Peterson.
