I'll be curious how Denver attacks the Pats defense.  They had a lot of success in the first game running Moreno, but it took the ball out of Manning's and the receivers' hands.  I think it might have been when Chris Kelly and Joe Vellano were the primary tackles rather than Siliga (Vince's body double).

great family game roger

When did that happen? No one seems to be wearing cold weather gear.

Edit: Nevermind, I just noticed that it didn't happen at the stadium.

http://deadspin.com/what-does-peyton-mannings-omaha-mean-1500350494

they talked about it on one of the post game shows, can't recall which one, and it seemed that nobody really could figure it out.  This explanation seems to be the best:

Quote
Said Incognito: "Tom Brady always used to say 'Omaha' and that meant the ball was going to be snapped on 'set-hut.'"

That seemed to be the case much of the time yesterday—Manning's final "Omaha" would be quickly followed by the ball being snapped on "hut." But on a few occasions, "Omaha" then "hut" wasn't the signal—and it made the Chargers jump. On four of San Diego's five neutral zone infractions, "Omaha" immediately preceded a hard count.

It really is fun watching Manning rejigger things up until the ball is snapped, half the time you wonder if he's just yelling random stuff to throw the defenses off.

it was trending on twitter yesterday.

It's fun to watch just how masterful Manning is at, well just about everything a qb can do. I would think that Manning would some day be a good coach, but at the same time, I wonder if his expectations of a qb would be too much for most to bear. I want to see them stomp a mudhole in NE and then whip the tar out of Seattle/SanFran.

Fwiw, I told some friends I was watching the Saturday games with that I wanted to see Seattle lose in the most heart breaking manner possible. I want to be able to buy the tears of the Seahawks fans  I really thought there was a chance until that NO receiver went full retard. WTF was he thinking???

If NE wins this year, I think Belichick goes down as the greatest coach ever- look at what NE can do basically down a receiving corps from last year

I really don't see them winning this year, even if they get past Denver either SF or Seattle will be just too tough, but to have gotten this far with SO many key parts either on IR or in jail yea, he's pretty flippin' awesome.  Charles Barkley was interviewed in the locker room after the game and he was saying how NE fans do not appreciate what we've had for the past dozen or so years and he was like "When Belichick and Brady are gone y'all's team is gonna freakin' suck, I hope y'all know that" lol was SO funny  :lmao:

One of the commentators noted they are the youngest team in the NFL as well.

Whisenhut to coach the Titans.  Lions get shut out, ESPN reports he refused a ride on the Lions' private plane after yesterday's loss.

Lions are now expected to hire Jim Caldwell.

ESPN says that Tony Dungy and several ex-Colt players are lobbying for Caldwell.

Mike Zimmer is the front runner for the Vikings job per ESPN as well.

My niece lives in one of the 'burbs.    Her husband's uncle has season tickets.    They ain't talkin'.    They are very puckered up about it.

Whisenhut to coach the Titans.

Their uniforms are :turrible: ... like the Brewers ... just yuck!

That has to impact product marketing / sales.

Hate to say it...the Packers colors look good on most designs...as do the Stillers...

man the lions job is so much more desirable than the titans in terms of playing talent, interesting that they are probably going to end up with what i think is the worst candidate of the group (caldwell)
