Is there a way to build muscle mass that is high in fat content?

If not, why call it "lean" muscle mass at all?

You know, when you make a good wage and have time to work out because, well, working out is essentially what you get paid to do, it really wouldn't be difficult at all to get built like that. It just takes a lot of hard work. I tell you what, you'd be amazed at the difference even in my body from June to now from weight loss and working out. I've only been working out for about three months now, but the results have been impressive, at least to me and my wife ;) That said, I'm nowhere near lean yet, but 265lbs vs 375 is quite a difference.

Moreover, not everyone has the genetics to be built like that. Some guys roll out of bed half-way to muscular. Others have to grind and grind to get there, and maybe never can. Humans are not created equal.

There are really muscular people that carry some body fat. Those guys that do that World Strongest Man competition are probably way stronger, with more muscle than RB. But with the muscle is fat. Shrug.

RB happens to be one of those low-body-fat-by-nature types.

Is there a way to build muscle mass that is high in fat content?

If not, why call it "lean" muscle mass at all?

I think the term is "well marbled".     Like the difference between a ribeye and a filet mignon.

Yes. Look at Olympic powerlifters or the World's Strongest Man competitions. Or even offensive linemen. They're strong as he'll but hardly lean

The term "lean muscle" is redundant and is pretty much just a marketing term. Muscle is always lean tissue (lean tissue is anything that isn't fat) and does not carry any significant amount of fat inside of it regardless of the person's overall bodyfat. Fat builds on top of muscles. So saying "lean muscle" doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but if you generalize it to "lean mass" that would signify getting bigger from extra muscle mass, and not from fat.

Ah, going from lean mass, to marbled, to dough myself, I get what you guys are saying.

But muscle is pretty much muscle, eh? Some work faster than others though.
