I don't much follow consoles these days but can't they patch Xbox360 games ala PC to fix problems like that?

yup.

but many 360 players have taken to modifying the Difficulty Sliders.

I saw one Slider setup that works pretty well, and I use it.  I'll see if I can find it again and post it here.

Yep, they can put patches and roster updates on Xbox Live, so the next time you play the game, it automatically fixes it.

Lastly, I really want to like the game and, on balance, I do (I rated it 8 out of 10).  It's just unfortunate that 2k sports has the exclusive license for MLB games on multiple platforms.

Take your complaint up with EA sports and their destruction of NFL video games, their insecurity started all the stupid licensing going on these days.

yup yup.  this exclusive licensing crap started in 2005, when people had the sheer audacity to think that NFL2k5 was better than Madden '05.  The sheer NERVE of those ingrates!

and EASports' response, naturally, was to buy out the Exclusive NFL License so 2K couldn't make another NFL game. instead of...you know...making Madden better.

2K buying out the MLB License was a response to EA cutting them out of the NFL.

and even with the exclusive NFL License, Madden Roster Update '08 is still going to be smashed up by 2k Sports now that they've decided to get back into Football.  2k Football with no NFL License >>>>>> Madden Exclusive NFL License Roster Updates.

now the question is......who would you rather hold the NBA License?  2K or EA? *snicker*

So I bought the game, to let everyone know. I've played 3 games, lost all of them. Lopez has 3 HRs in two games. Zimm has one also, but I'll need to play it a bit more to really get a feel for it. I struck out 21 times in the first game! LOL

I know how that feels.

the swing stick is friggin hard to get used to, and I strike out a lot too.

I switched to Classic Swing mode, and I did a little better, but I still K like 7 or 8 times a game.

I don't know why I had no problem with the demo. I won about 1/2 the time on All star. I can't win for anything in the full version.  Is there any way to change the controller layout? Its really starting to get annoying because the swing stick is so unpredictable. There were times that I struck out on ball 4 because i accidentally pressed the bunt button. Also, for some reason it doesn't swing half the time either. I'll watch balls for right down the middle, or my batter will swing about 2 seconds after I told it too.

I'm getting the hang of it. I just hit back to back to back homers haha.

EDIT: Wow. I hate this game. So I finally get the hang of and am winning 6-2 (on six solo HR's) and then if freezes.

EDIT again: well, it unfroze. Anyway, everything I said in my original review still stands. I ended up getting annoyed and turned off the xbox after once again the computer tied it in the bottom of the ninth off a perfect pitch. But anyway, all 12 RBI's in this game were a result of homeruns. I believe there were 10 in the game total. My power setting is on 20 also. This game will have some fun sitting on the shelf.

I haven't been playing much MLB2k7.  gonna wait until the Opening Day Roster Update before I really get going on a Franchise mode.

been playing a lot of GRAW2 lately.  but that's another post for another thread(maybe we need an Official Gamers' Thread in the Off-Topic Section...?)

i just started a gm career after creating simonacchi, chico, and adding guys like Lee, Wilson, etc. I changed some of the ratings too and equipment. i also switched to classic hitting to see how it is and i like how i can direct my hits in any direction and theres more foul balls but i only got 2 hits in my first game vs d-train.

and madison, i love graw 2. i've got a group i play with on the weekends just let me know if you want to jump in or something.

Is it possible someone on here with 2k7 could post the nationals roster or give me a link to somewhere with it, I was dissapointed with mlb 07 the shows roster as it seems to be missing alot of guys on the team.

this is part of the reason why I am waiting for the Opening Day Roster Update before I start my Franchise.

the roster isn't very accurate at all.  at least for the Nationals it isn't.

ok thanks, the roster was pretty bad on the show for the nationals aswell, also do you have to pay for anything to just get the online updates if you have the slim PS2?
