Yankees Suck!

They sucked their way to a division championship this year, to go with the 11 championships they won between Orioles playoff appearances

Game 3 needs to be in prime time.

This is DC baseball we're talking about.

I need to get at least one post in this thread...

I was at the Skins game all day. Got home around the 6th inning. I was able to see Tyler Moore's clutch hit. BEAUTIFUL!

Also, 7 walks for Gio? Sheesh!

My condolences.

Yeah. It was some garbo all around. The only highlight was my boy Kerrigan putting the team on his back. And Alfie Mo I guess

Wow!  What a day!!  That was one of the most tense games I have ever watched.  I believe Davey Johnson was responsible for Espi's bunt which turned out to be monumental and Tyler Moore's hit was sensational.  I felt like I was holding my breath the whole time Clippard and Storen were pitching.  Great first victory on the road giving the team and its fans lots of confidence for the rest of the series.

This game had everything except extra-base hits. Another reason why baseball is the greatest...fans don't need to see ten guys "go yard" to have a bone-chilling game.

The truth, which is why I don't completely respect Johnson as a National league manager.

Today is just one day, but he had leadoff batters on most innings and didn't sacrifice once to move them along, and since you can't steal against Molina, you are reliant totally on the long ball.  Eventually, knowing he can't hit, Espi bunts on his own and at least moves Desmond to second.  What happens next?  Moore's clutch hit wins the game because Desmond was at second.

Johnson had nothing to do with the win. In fact, he wanted Cahd up instead of Tyler and only switchd because the Cards brought in a lefty.  He lucked out.

But, yeah, baseball is wonderfully complex.

In the PH situation I would think Johnson made the right call.

Tracy had more hits as PH than anyone in baseball this year plus he'd have the platoon advantage if they didn't make a move. Switching to Tyler also made sense as Scrabble can be and ultimately was beat by a RHB in Moore.

The amount of contradictions in these four sentences is amazing.

My son, Redskin Dan v1978, says RG3's injury looks bad...concussion...should not be rushed back.

He made the right moves. Tracy vs right or Moore vs lefty.

The only spot u would want to bunt in the ants lineup with pitcher or with Suzuki if a pinch hitter is next.

there were a couple of spots where Espinosa could have bunted, but then you run the risk of walking Suzuki to get to the pitcher.  Given the way Suzuki is hitting, it's better to let him swing the bat.

I keep coming back to this thread just to see what other awesome crap people are talking about. Today is one of the best experiences I've ever had as a Nationals fan. Can't wait for Wednesday's game. It's going to be so electric that we can cut it with a knife.  ;)

According to Davey, the Espinosa bunt was called from the dugout.
