What have you done for me lately
Reds, Braves, and Giants all have hotter pitching going into the playoffs. Not only do we not have Strasburg but the other 4 have all taken a step back.
September team ERA: 3.55.
Giants September team ERA: 3.65.
The Braves and Reds have been red-hot pitching-wise in September - I'll give you that - but our offense is also second in baseball this month in runs scored while the Braves are 24th and the Reds are 28th.
