I think it's because more people are actually going to the game, or watching it at a bar.

Less people are going to games.  Since August.

Even when we completely sucked, I remember routine 30-40 page threads. Sure, they were full of rage. But they were awesome in their own way.

I miss it. :(

I would have used Garcia or Stammen.  Davey's in game management decisions are awful, sometimes.

He's saving Craig for Sunday.

Garcia would have made a lot of sense though. Doesn't excuse that 0-2 pitch to Kemp though. Gotta bounce a Changeup or two.

Garcia rested is that much worse of an option than a pitcher who threw earlier today?  This is terrible managing.

And the away threads are only averaging ~15 pages anyways. Don't get it.

Less rage, you answered your own question.

Why the freak did we just concede a base in a one-run game? Honestly. Am I missing something?

I don't get allowing the runner to waltz over to 2nd.

Also football/start of school could be put into consideration. Although football only covers 1 (maybe 2) days of the week.

Me neither. I mentioned this a week or so ago. There was a lot more buzz on this board back in May and June.

PS - is there a reason these threads are more dead than ever? Playing for a playoff spot and 9 pages..

I think taking a look at the majority of posts in all the gameday threads might be a good place to start.

He put his closer in a tie game in the 9th inning at home. Pretty standard. Clip choked. Our entire pen has been shaky lately.

Jesus Flores has given up on life.

You think it's gone downhill that much? I think we all know most people are just getting some emotion out lol. Not completely serious in what they post.

Plus, even last year, it was way more active with the same type of people around.

It's not standard if your closer has been used earlier in the day.  Clippard could have been used in the 10th or 11th.  It would have been better if he weren't used at all but certainly not in the 9th.

We really need to overhaul the bullpen in the offseason. Trade Clippard before his value plummets.
