Harper has just been utterly dreadful since the All Star Break.

Actually since the Petite game. If Rizzo hadn't gone on record as saying that once he was up, he would stay up, they would have sent him back down by now. Bernadina has completely out performed him. Moore and Brown were both more deserving of call ups.

The inability to throw out baserunners is a valid reason to panic.  If I was a manager of a team, I'd have every player with average speed attempt to steal against this team every time they reached base.  This team cannot catch ANYONE stealing.

And Bryce needs to be benched at this point.  I understand that he is only 19 but we need our best players in the lineup and Bryce has been dreadful for a while now.

Still the best record in baseball!

And still my team, even if they are not playing like winners the last few games.

I'm not panicking. I just don't like the vibe right now. Ejack and Gonzo were slapped around early. The offense is in a slumber. There seems no sense of urgency. It's almost like they are playing not to lose rather than playing to win.

Why are we blaming this funk on Harper?  The big guys in the middle of the line-up are not hitting.  Both starting pitchers got off to a bad start in Philadelphia.  The base-running of opposing teams is a source of concern and definitely needs improvement.  And missing both Desmond and Morse hurts.  In general we look flat, weary and tired - someone needs to light a fire under us. :asplode:

Yeah, agreed.  If we get swept, I'm making the GDT on Tuesday.  #PutinPower

The Nats have to stop letting inferior teams dictate the game.
