I'm a little embarrassed that it takes people 16 posts to find out what a weenie Sportsfan is. Shows you're a smart guy though.

I lurked for about a month before posting, but Idiocy and shortsightedness of that magnitude is often glaring.

Absolutely putrid Caught Stealing numbers.

That part of the game must be overrated.  It probably isn't quantifiable, the distraction factor for pitchers having to hold runners.

As much as I want the Braves to lose I find it incredibly difficult to be at all upset that the Philthies are losing regardless of circumstance.

Phillies IMPLOSION.

Sucks that it's against the Barves though.

There have been studies about it and SBs are vastly over rated

It's definitely something the nationals have to work on.  It's really not acceptable for almost anyone who reaches 1st becoming an automatic double.

If so... you're getting called out on the air.

I think that would depend on circumstance.  Obviously with two outs and a runner on first, stealing a base is invaluable because it moves the runner into scoring position.

But you have to steal at a very high rate for it to be a smart move.

Is it bad that I want the 'Stros to tie it up just to see Sportsfan say "game" and be proven wrong again?

Yes, it is bad.

He can say "game" for damn near anything that happens adverse, it doesn't have to be actually surrendering the lead.

Sometimes a wild pitch, or even a walk, can provoke such a faulty prognostication.
