It's definitely something the nationals have to work on.  It's really not acceptable for almost anyone who reaches 1st becoming an automatic double.

I think that would depend on circumstance.  Obviously with two outs and a runner on first, stealing a base is invaluable because it moves the runner into scoring position.

I think that would depend on circumstance.  Obviously with two outs and a runner on first, stealing a base is invaluable because it moves the runner into scoring position.

But you have to steal at a very high rate for it to be a smart move.

Yes, it is bad.

He can say "game" for damn near anything that happens adverse, it doesn't have to be actually surrendering the lead.

Sometimes a wild pitch, or even a walk, can provoke such a faulty prognostication.
