Has been consistently one of the best pitchers in the system since returning from injury.

Is he like the second coming of National Det? Like National Brett or something?

They have the same type frames as tall gangly lefties with mechanical issues.

Guys with worse numbers have already been promoted to higher levels, so is it safe to say that the reason Mooneyham is still in Hagerstown is the walk rate?

Strange that they aren't challenging him with a promotion.

He has got to be moved up. Solis to AA, Mooneyham to Potomac.

Pure speculation. They must want him at Hagerstown to continue working with the coaching staff, and to keep tabs on his mechanics/control where he continues to build confidence. Push him to a new team, new staff and better players too soon and maybe he struggles a bit and goes back to his old ways or what he's used to.

7-1 with a 1.56 in his last 10 starts... but his last five have been even better.

5-0, 35.1 IP, 0.25 ERA, 0.51 WHIP, 38/6 K/BB

Mooneyham started strong getting the first 2 batters but then a walk followed by a monster home run by the clean up hitter put him behind in the first.  He walked the first three hitters in the second and they all scored.  One more run in the third.  He seemed to have good breaking stuff but could not locate fastball.  Home plate ump was less tha generous to him. Final stats.  Lots of oom for improvement. Figure fatigue must be setting in also in his first year in pro ball.

3 innings
6 ER
6 BB
5 hits
1k

Not much out of the PNats offense either.

That's too bad. At one point it looked like there was a possibility he was an MLB-caliber back-of-rotation southpaw.

This is generous.
