That was very odd. Looked like it was plenty deep enough to score him though the throw got in fast.

Why the freak did Porter throw up the stop sign as he was more than halfway there?

yeah, once you go you don't stop that far down the line. It can't be easier to stop, turn and go further the other way than to simply keep going. That's up there with the Nook overrun at 3B
