i've had very little sleep but did i read on my twitter feed that we optioned Perry to AA to convert him to a starter? what the freak would the point of that be/

Sometimes you will convert a reliever to a starter so that he can develop his secondary pitches

That is bad. Generally you want to see more pitches when you're losing.
