What does it mean to frame a pitch?

The catcher will move his glove to the strike zone for a pitch that's not a strike to try to fool the umpire, basically.

What does it mean to frame a pitch?

Think of the strikezone as a picture frame. The catcher will take a pitch that is very close and slightly move it into the "picture frame" and hold it there for a second to dupe the umpire and help him out a little bit.

Edit: Nathan already answered the question.

Never a dull moment. #nats bus got stuck in parade traffic today in Boston. Davey so late bench coach Randy Knorr spoke to media instead.

Enjoy that 1-0 lead Gio, our bats look clueless against a guy who is just back from TJ.

That is a very low pitch count for Gio. Nice.

aussienatsfan, has cmdterps44 given you control of the JMU Alumnus fantasy baseball team yet?  It's still unmanaged.
