I wouldn't be surprised if he's there to get familiar with Dusty and Maddux, meet the major leaguers and just get a feel for the club house rather than to pitch much.

Agreed.

Listened to the Cespedes Family BBQ last night, with Little Gio as a guest -- guy sounds years beyond his age. I think it's telling for how he would handle himself in the ML. If he's better than the starting 5, bring him up.

This is definitely the case.

So if he throws in Spring Training and just straight deals, can they delay his season start? Like, stat him in Triple A in June and call him up to the bigs if by some miracle we're in a playoff race?

Don't see it. He'd be a BP arm, maybe.

If he's just dominating in the minors though, it'd be hard not to call him up

Nothing stopping them, but I doubt they'd be that creative

I'm hoping he's our September/October/November closer and then back to the rotation for 2017.

Yes, but I would like to see a pitch count or an innings cap so we don't have to shut him down later on like we did with Ross.

That's why he's starting in June and not May. He's probably good for about 140 innings. Crank him up in  June and he's good through September.

I half expect him to say "choose your ride or else I will meet you in the Octagon, and you would not want to mess with a dude my size"

What time?

10:45     We missed it.    That's why I mentioned the site.    I heard the announcement at the gym (headset was tuned in) and when I got home, it was gone.
