Graphics look better in 2017 and I hope the animations actually match the play by play. No baseball video game sim should say "base hit to left" and the animation is a grounder to 2nd base.  I also like the move to zips. In any case I'd be buying it anyway so I might as well  get it a little cheaper during the pre sale. I doubt I could wait for the 50% off sales on steam.

Why does your league have a salary floor?

It just went in to prevent mega-tanking. We also have a draft lottery.

Tanking is fun, though.

ootp17 beta just got released! I'm going to analyze the rosters of all of the teams (especially the nats) and make a plan to dominate the ootp17 online league I just joined. The rosters are still being tweaked and should have a solid roster update upon official release which is when our league will start. If anyone wants to join and has ootp17 let me know. I'll ask the commish for you. Sorry but I already took the nats. :)

iOOTP 16 is out, now called MLB Manager 2016. Stats are on a 100 point scale instead of 20 in previous versions but I haven't seen anything else that's different so far.  Turner, den Dekker and Rafael Bautista all make the Nats lineup as does Taylor Jordan.  They've got werth as a cf'r, and Espinsoa as a below average defensive SS.

they really don't do much to maintain it.  Usually you get one early season roster update and that's it.  It still has the same bugs in that the screen will never turn off if you are in the game, so if you stop playing and put your phone down without manually returning to the home screen of clicking on the sleep button, it will keep the game open with the display on and kill your battery.  Also in the player draft, in the fifth round the "advance to your next pick" button ends up on top of the buttons that allow you to sort by stats, that bug has been around since the 2014 version.

FWIW, I ran a season with the Nats making no modifications.  It trots out of L/L/L lineup against RHP of Revere, Murphy and Harper.  Turner started the season at SS.

By the end of the season Barrett had torn his UCL for the second time, and Giolito, Scherzer, and Strasburg were all out with shoulder injuries.   The Nats finished in 2nd place, 9 games behind the Mets, but qualified for the WC, beating Pittsburgh and losing to Chicago in the NLDS.  Harper put up a .346 / .475 / .628 slash line with 33 HRs.  Zimmerman somehow stayed healthy all season.  By the end of the year the starting OF was Goodwin/Taylor/Harper.

I ran these season on desktop, maintaining the lineups and rotation as well as the DL, but making no trades. The Nationals won over 100 games and then lost to the wildcard Diamondbacks 3-1.

Finally won my online league.

Took forever. Definitely not the best team I had ever fielded, either. Got in as a wildcard, got hot at the right time.

Congrats. In a ootp17 league with 2016 rosters, I got all the way to the world series only to be swept by the mariners. It didn't help that Harper was out for six months and had to trade for Sterling Marte who was good, but was mostly a singles and doubles hitter.  Werth was out in the playoffs and MAT absolutely killed it in both playoff series which he was named MVP. In the regular season he was a .182 hitter.

I need to win it all this year or everyone making  moves will catch up to the nationals pitching staff.

I got six other leagues and play with other teams and usually make the playoffs, but are one and done. I might have to burn some teams to the ground and rebuild.

Stephen "0-10/The Dream" Adams had everything to do with that.

Regular Rays, but you can rebrand to retro. Our league has the Anaheim Angels, for example.

Update: The Padres GM just took the Yankees, so now it's the Padres or Royals.
