Quote
Since the beginning of the 2013 season, one of the most dominant starting pitchers in the Nationals’ minor league system is a player you likely know little about. Taylor Hill, a 6-foot-3, 233-pound sinker-balling right-handed starter at Class AAA Syracuse, has an 8-1 record and a 1.57 ERA over 12 games, the best mark among starters in the International League this season.

It happens that I do know about Taylor Hill, thanks to WNFF!

^^^^^^^Yup!!

Nationals purchased the contract of RHP Taylor Hill from Triple-A Syracuse.

He'll provide some length to the bullpen following Tuesday's 16-inning marathon. Hill, 25, boasts a 1.92 ERA and a 65/9 K/BB ratio over 93 2/3 innings for Syracuse this season. He'll be making his major league debut when he gets into a game.

Can't wait to see how he does against major league hitters.

Nats play a day/night doubleheader Saturday vs the Cubs, he'll start one of those, don't you think?

There's a good chance he does. I think this would be the perfect time to give this guy a start and see what he can do.

Taylor Hill hasn't pitched for Syracuse since July 13, when he only got one batter out and gave up 7 runs,
an ERA of 189.0!  Word is he is pitching tonight in Buffalo, which could be interesting. (He's been on the 7-day DL).

They only let him go four innings. Gave up one run, a few hits and walks, sat at 89-90. Throws mostly junk. Basically struggled. Took the loss. Seems like they're watching him carefully regarding injury.  ??

Still in system. Dropped from AAA to AA.  Old for that league, but has had a run of 4 nice starts after really scuffling earlier in the year.
