Good job Clip. He looked shaky, but I hope Davey still gives Stammen his shots at closing. If he kept trotting HRod out there, he owes it to the best BP pitcher this year a couple more shakes.

Nice, but no McCann (really), Chipper, Freeman.  Strasburg not looking normal (for him).  Enjoy it for now, i guess.

I was just telling someone yesterday that I was concerned about Strasburg vs Atlanta.  It's still early in his career to say the Braves "own" him, but he sure hasn't been at his best against them in the few times he's faced them so far.

Strassburg was not perfect, but the ump was not giving him the corners, as far as I saw.

You can't argue with the fact that he should've had that one SF. It was a tough play for sure but he was there in ample time to make the play. And he's plenty capable of making that sort of play.

It wasn't his fault, his Phyten broke :lmao:

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 28th win, each season:

2012 - 26th May (46th match of season)
2005 - 2nd June (54th match)
2010 - 8th June (59th match)
2006 - 8th June (61st match)
2011 - 10th June (64th match)
2007 - 13th June (65th match)
2008 - 14th June (70th match)
2009 - 22nd July (94th match)

---

THIS DAY WITH THE '05 OVERACHIEVERS: Thursday 26th May 2005 was a travel day, finding the Nats between away trips to Cincinnati (where they were swept three straight) and St Louis;

---

Local sides ran the table yesterday - besides the Nats win, the Mystics picked up their first win (64-61 over Tulsa Shock, in front of a crowd that was at best 1/3 the announced attendance of 11,866) and DC United edged the New England Revolution 3-2 to take over top spot in the East (in front of 14,627, which by recent United standatds isn't a bad turn-out).

---

Nats record in matches with WNFF GDT's started by yours truly: this season 1-0, career 2-1.
