(Although I wish Burnett would square-up his hat.)

Not a chance.

Either Stammen or Clippard.
Burnett has closed before in the Majors. But I wouldn't be opposed to one of those two. Burnett has the mindset to do it though he is LH so that makes it difficult if tough RH hitters are up. I wouldn't mind closer by committee as long as HRod isn't involved.

It's not an excuse, it's supporting your pitcher.  Davey doesn't give a rat's ass if he looks stupid to us.

I doubt H-Rod will be back anytime soon.

I bet Davey defends HRod and will take the blame for making him pitch for a third straight day. :? You know he will make up an excuse.

Because that's what a manager does..whether right or wrong.

Any player that doesn't play well should be publically ripped by the manager.

Don't forget Leon, dropping that perfect throw home.

Overall, a good night.

What is the big problem with pulling the plug on HRod as closer?  When Storen comes back HRod is no longer closer anyway, so why is it so freaking important to stick with the guy when he obviously can't consistently perform?  I just don't get it, hopefully this is it, Burnett, Clippard, anybody else at this point until Storen's back.

Wasn't Burnett supposed to be the closer when the team got him?
