Nady made the play of the day Friday.  Bernie is great in Center.  Moore got some good hits on Friday.

Sunshine squad strikes again!

He can use a day off. Already won the series and he's started 37 straight.

Did he think he was going to play every game from here to perpetuity?  It was going to happen eventually.

Why on earth does a 19 year old need a day off from playing the game he loves?

And why do managers give days off but then the guy has to show up to the game? That's just dumb. It's like being told you don't have to work at work, but you still have to show up.

They should've waited until Wednesday's game so he could have two days off in a row.

Seriously? He's not getting a day off from work. He still has to hit in the cage/possibly pinch hit. You cant see why it would be a bad idea to allow players that aren't starting not to show up for the game?

No crap.  If I'm taking the day off then let me hang out and play xBox and smoke dope all day, otherwise just put me in the field.

Exactly. I can't think of anything more painful than having to watch a game from the dugout when I should be playing. Its why when I played in HS i begged the coach to let me play the field on days I didn't pitch.

Wat.

So - you want Harper to not be given a day off to rest, but if he is given a day off, then he should just stay home?  I don't think that's done in any major sport unless a guy is being punished or being purposefully kept away from the rest of the team.

Bam Bam has been getting treated for a sore back lately.

We have to fly up to Toronto, another new park to Bryce, for a 3 game series starting tomorrow Monday Jun 11th at 7:07 pm.

Any player. Just seems dumb. Baseball should have an alternate for the 25 man roster. Just plug him in whenever you want to give a day off. Just stipulate that the player must start and can't start consecutive days or something.

I would be annoyed if you told me I had to come to the game just to watch. I'd simply rather not come at all. Just let me stay in the hotel room or something.

And Bryce is not a pinch hitter. He's hitting like .160 something against pitcher he's seeing for the first time. Over .400 the second time around.

Today's Sunday Washington Post has a 10" x 12" picture of Bryce Harper with the supplements section.  In  the past they've had Stephen Strasburg and Jayson Werth.
